JOHN ENRIGHT

John Enright, resident of Samoa for the last 26 years, is active today as an author, poet and American Samoa Historic Preservation Officer.

Prior to moving back to Samoa, he studied and worked in the US, as a freelance editor and publisher at Independent Publishing and Tinkers Dam Press, San Francisco, Managing Editor for Production at University of California Press, textbook production editor at John Wiley & Sons, Prentice-Hall Inc., research flunky at Newsweek, Time, Fortune and hot strip mill laborer at Bethlehem Steel, Lackawanna, N.Y.

He has an M.A. in Folklore, University of California, Berkeley, 1971 and a B.A. in Literature, City College of New York, 1969
